Technology Overview
ITRI developed Bugu-M, a natural memory-support ingredient formulated from plant extracts approved by Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare for food use. Preclinical studies show that Bugu-M enhances memory performance, reduces β-amyloid-induced neurotoxicity, and promotes the expression of neuroplasticity-related proteins. It is suitable for supporting cognitive health and mitigating age-related cognitive decline.
Technical Superiority
Through ITRI’s Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) technology platform, Bugu-M has undergone manufacturing process development, quality control, and safety evaluation. The platform can also be extended to the production and quality management of food, nutraceuticals, and functional ingredients.
