2. Cell Culture Medium QMS/GMP Facility

Brief Introduction

The ITRI Cell Culture Medium QMS/GMP Facility is the first in Taiwan to receive QMS/GMP certification for Class II medical devices. Our serum-free culture media are suitable for producing clinical-grade human cells used in cell therapy. The facility supplies Taiwan’s biotech industry with key raw materials, breaking the long-standing dependence on imported media.

The only serum-free medium facility registered as a Class II medical device manufacturer in Taiwan.

The only facility (including imports) capable of producing clinical-grade cell culture media for therapeutic use.

Scope of Services

1. Custom development and pilot-scale production of serum-free media.

2. Contract manufacturing of serum-free media.

3. Technology transfer for serum-free MSC purification and high-efficiency in vitro expansion.

Core Facilities

ISO Class 5 (Grade 100) semi-automatic sterile liquid-filling equipment.
